Founded in 2007 by actress/singer, Tatyana Ali, and sister, Anastasia Ali, HazraH Entertainment fulfills the promise of urban cinema by producing works rich in originality and soul. Having spent our entire lives in entertainment, we are ready to forge a new path by telling provocative stories that push the limits so often placed on the American narrative.

Our story begins here.

TATYANA ALI

CHAIRMAN & CEO

Tatyana Ali is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HazraH Entertainment. A true visionary, Tatyana is responsible for strategizing new business ventures and upholding company standards throughout every stage of the filmic process, from development to release.

2010 has only just begun, and Tatyana is already making waves. Her production company, HazraH Entertainment, has two shows under its belt, both starring Tatyana: the BET web series, BUPPIES (which has garnered over 5 million views in its first month alone) and the upcoming TV One sitcom executive produced by Martin Lawrence and Raphael Saadiq, Love That Girl. She moonlights as host of TV One Access, the number one rated show on the network, and this year moviegoers will watch Tatyana on the silver screen in the Guillermo del Toro production, Mother and Child, alongside Naomi Watts and Samuel L. Jackson. Tatyana is also a member of the International Academy of Web Television.

Tatyana Ali is a Broadway-trained actress, singer, activist and graduate of Harvard University. Audiences best recognize the New York native as Ashley, the youngest in the Banks household on NBC’s hit comedy, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She has since appeared in such films as Glory Road and The Brothers.

Tatyana Ali’s voice hit the airwaves in 1998 when she recorded her debut album, “Kiss the Sky”, under Epic/MJJ. The hit single, “Daydreamin’”, earned Tatyana a gold record, and the follow-up single, “Boy You Knock Me Out”, went silver in the U.K., earning Tatyana the coveted opening act spot for both *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys on their world tours. In 1999, Tatyana paid homage to Sesame Street, the kids’ show that propelled her television career, by recording “Precious Wings” for “The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland Soundtrack". The recording won the Grammy for “Best Musical Album for Children”.

An inspiration to her millions of fans, this National Black Caucus of State Legislatures’ Visionary Award recipient began canvassing the country as a surrogate for Barack Obama in November 2007, speaking to college students and minority youth about the importance of voting. To bring attention to the Senator’s presidential campaign, she sang in the Emmy-winning Internet music video, “Yes We Can” and the follow-up will.i.am video, “It’s a New Day”. Tatyana continues her advocacy work as spokesperson for the Millennium Momentum Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating and professionally developing young people for leadership roles that will impact their communities.

And there’s only more to come from this multitalented woman.

Tatyana Ali's passion for the arts and extensive knowledge of the industry honed in over 25 years in the business puts her in a position unlike many of her peers. As the founder of HazraH Entertainment she plans to put her expertise and intuitive understanding of the business of film making to the test.

ANASTASIA ALI

PRESIDENT & COO

Anastasia Ali is the President and Chief Operating Officer of HazraH Entertainment. She is responsible for planning and executing the strategic direction of the company as well as overseeing its day-to-day operations. She is producer of BET.com's Buppies and TV One's Love That Girl. She is also a member of the prestigious International Academy of Web Television.

Anastasia has extensive experience in the entertainment industry. One could say that the industry is “in her blood”. Sister to Tatyana Ali, Anastasia’s acting and modeling career began while she was still in diapers. Since then, she has appeared on the ABC after-school special, Teen Father, with Eriq La Salle; The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and various national commercials, in addition to modeling for DrJays.com and O Magazine. Working alongside her sister, she grew to comprehend the industry beyond performance and chose to study the methodologies governing film, television and literature in college. Anastasia graduated from Brown University with honors, the Modern Culture and Media Honors Prize and a published thesis entitled, “The Myth Deconstructed: Legitimating African thought as Philosophical Discourse,” in the CLR James Journal.

Anastasia Ali began her career on the business end of mass communications by working for a New York City advertising firm. There, she helped strategize marketing campaigns and produced reports that offered analysis on African-American and Hispanic spending habits. Her keen, innate understanding of show business led her to Carol’s Daughter (the Brooklyn-born beauty company re-launched by entertainment marketing mogul, Steve Stoute), where she maintained the efficiency of the executive office, wrote copy for the website and catalogues and assisted in implementing marketing strategies, including the Mary J. Blige Sephora campaign.

Anastasia Ali looks forward to growing HazraH Entertainment into the premiere provider of urban content.
